It is hard to convey in words what a profoundly solemn and meaningful day “Yom Ha’Zikron”, the Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of the Wars of Israel and Victims of Actions of Terrorism, is for the families and children of Israel.

The children of Migdal Ohr use the day to reflect, gather, mourn, and honor those who have given their lives to ensure their security and freedom. These experiences shape their identity and their aspirations as future leaders building and defending the State of Israel.

Yom HaZikaron turns into Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israeli Independence Day which is a day of great pride, gratitude and national celebration. This year, we celebrated Israel’s 73rd birthday!

It is a tradition to host great BBQs with family and friends all over the country! Our Mishpachton families, couples who are raising 12 children in addition to their own on the Migdal Ohr campus, planned some pretty fun BBQs of their own.

We have seen over and over again how when children feel that they are part of a family unit, they identify as part of the Jewish nation and start to dream about how they are going to make a difference.

Thank you for supporting Migdal Ohr and making such an incredible contribution to the future of the Jewish people in the Jewish homeland!
