Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman, famously known as the “Disco Rabbi” for his early efforts to reach Israel’s youth in bars and pool halls, attended the opening of the newest Ohr Yisraeli Youth Club in Migdal HaEmek. For Rabbi Grossman, it was more than a ceremonial ribbon-cutting—it was a chance to connect directly with teens and witness the next generation of leaders in action.

Ohr Yisraeli, the youth movement of Migdal Ohr, now has over 160 clubs across Israel, providing at-risk teens with a safe space to grow, learn, and build meaningful connections. At these clubs, youth meet weekly with caring mentors who guide them through activities, trips, volunteer opportunities, and discussions that help them develop confidence, responsibility, and purpose.

During the visit, Rabbi Grossman sat with the teens, listened to their stories, and reminded them that their generation has the potential to shape Israel’s future. His words resonated with the young participants: that they are not only seen and valued, but that they can become the generation that builds Israel into a beacon of light.

These clubs are made possible by the support of donors who believe in giving teens more than just programs—they provide a community, a sense of belonging, and the tools to become leaders in society. Each new branch, each new teen reached, is a testament to the transformative power of your generosity.

With the opening of the Migdal HaEmek club, another chapter begins in Ohr Yisraeli’s ongoing mission: to meet youth where they are, guide them with compassion, and inspire them to reach their full potential. Through your support, these young people are not just finding their way—they are building a brighter future for themselves, their communities, and Israel.
