Did you know that Migdal Ohr has had a partnership with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra for the last 12 years?

Sulamot (meaning music scales) brings professional musicians to teach 5th and 6th grade students to play classical wind instruments and perform in the school’s orchestra.

The orchestra consists of flutes, clarinets, oboes, alto and tenor saxophones, trumpets, trombones, tubas, French and baritone horns, as well as various percussion instruments.

Each year, children participating in the Sulamot Ohr Channa Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra Project perform in front of a live audience as part of the school’s end of the year performance. They also get to perform in a unique concert in Tel Aviv that is dedicated to schools participating in similar programmes.

In the past, three girls from our 6th grade competed in the first ever Ruth Lewis International Clarinet Competition in Tel Aviv and took home the 3rd prize!

Let's give them a big standing ovation!
