Purim celebrations at Migdal Ohr are filled with costumes, carnivals, and lots of laughter. This is a time that Rabbi Grossman wants them to feel extra special and to enjoy the holiday like every other Jewish child.

We say that on Purim everything was reversed (v'nahafoch hu)! The Jewish people went from crying to laughing, from near destruction to incredible salvation. The tables were completely turned and the day that the evil Haman plotted for their destruction became a day of feasting and rejoicing. The Jews realised that G-d had never abandoned them and that in fact, He was looking out for them all along!

So too the children at Migdal Ohr ... They come from some of the poorest, most abusive, and desperate circumstances into a home and school full of light, laughter, and love. Rabbi Grossman, our founder, tells them that they are like Esther, the orphan, who rose to power and saved her entire people - there is NOTHING that they can't do if they put their minds to it.

Today, Rabbi Grossman and the children want to thank each of YOU and the amazing miracles that you bring about daily through your care and your love. You are behind the smiles on these children's faces and you are responsible for completely reversing their fate and giving them the bright futures they deserve.

Happy Purim from all of us at Migdal Ohr!
