The power of community can make anything possible!
While we plan the BASHMO months in advance, we can never predict what will happen the week of an event! The week of our SOLD OUT, Third Annual BASHMO, air pollution smoked us out of the Weinberger's backyard and left us looking for a new venue. The incredible BASHMO committee went straight to work, never losing the smiles on their faces.
With 24 HOURS to go, our friends at Yeshivat Frisch generously offered their gymnasium and the event production team transformed it into a wonderland of inspiration and giving!
Your dedication to the children of Migdal Ohr is nothing short of INCREDIBLE and the $100K that we raised is already at work ensuring that thousands of children have everything they need for an amazing summer!
Many people were inspired to sponsor specific items such as tefillin, baby formula, summer clothing, medical needs, therapies, and sporting equipment. They felt an extra connection knowing that they had contributed something that would nourish and provide for the needs of the children.
Just like we've made plans for our own children, we've also made sure that Israeli children from the poorest families have a summer packed with experiences, fun, and adventure.
Instead of worrying about the basic necessities, these children will be embraced by loving parents and staff whose #1 priority is to make them feel loved and cared for.I am also thrilled to share that this was our largest BASHMO yet with nearly 300 people who came together from neighborhoods like New Milford, Teaneck, Englewood, Bergenfield, and New York City.
We are so appreciative of our gracious hosts Arianne and Moshe Weinberger for offering their home to us, Yeshivat Frisch for opening their doors, and to our dedicated event chairs for making this BASHMO a night to remember: Jamie and Shmully Ash, Shani and Daniel Finn, Dahlia Goldbrenner, Jenna and Sam Goldstein, Daniella and Dovid Katz, Batya and Nachman Paul, Elissa and Steven Seltzer, Tal Singer and Debra Paul Singer, Debbie and David Singfer, Erica and Tzvi Solomon.
