All across Israel, Migdal Ohr’s youth branches buzzed with activity and excitement during Sukkot.

Teens are rolling up their sleeves to decorate and build sukkahs in their local communities. With mentors by their side, they learned about the mitzvot of the holiday, and spent hours with their friends in sukkot.

What’s most inspiring, though, wasn’t just the activity—it was the spirit. In every one of Migdal Ohr’s 60 youth branches, you could feel the energy of young people, proud to be part of something larger than themselves. They learned that Sukkot isn’t only about dwelling in a sukkah—it’s about coming together as a people, experiencing joy, and remembering that true happiness comes the relationships we have rather than things we own.

For many of these teens, this may be their first experience celebrating a Jewish holiday in such a hands-on, personal way. With the help of their mentors—many of whom are Migdal Ohr graduates themselves—they’re finding meaning in their heritage and pride in their identity.

Your partnership allows Migdal Ohr to bring the warmth of Jewish tradition to thousands of young people who might otherwise miss out on these formative experiences.

So as you sit in your sukkah this year, know that somewhere in Israel, hundreds of young hearts are doing the same—rejoicing, learning, and building a brighter Jewish future.
