We want to wish a heartfelt Mazal Tov to Israel Prize Laureate and Migdal Ohr founder, Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman, on receiving the prestigious Rambam Award for 2026!
The Rambam Award is the highest distinction presented annually by Rambam Health Care Campus to groundbreaking figures in Israel who have made an extraordinary impact on medicine, science, technology, leadership, and society. Past honorees include the late President Shimon Peres and Nobel Prize Laureate Professor Aaron Ciechanover.
In recognizing Rabbi Grossman, the selection committee highlighted his lifelong mission of bringing together different parts of the Jewish people and creating a warm, loving home for tens of thousands of children at Migdal Ohr.
For decades, the Rav has dedicated his life to making sure that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive and realize their dreams for themselves and their future.
Rabbi Grossman's impact, however, extends far beyond the children who have called Migdal Ohr home. Today, tens of thousands of Migdal Ohr alumni are building lives of their own, raising families, contributing to Israeli society, and guiding the next generation. They carry forward the values the Rav has instilled in them leading their families and communities with compassion, responsibility, and the belief that every person has something meaningful to contribute.
The Rav's greatest legacy is the light he has kindled in others. Every child who grows up at Migdal Ohr continues to spread light throughout Israel and live out the values that they have learned in our programs.
We are proud to play a role in continuing Rabbi Grossman's work and celebrate this well-deserved recognition of his lifetime of achievement.
Mazal Tov, Rabbi Grossman! May you continue to bring light, hope, and opportunity to generations of children and families for many years to come.
