In the weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah, groups of Migdal Ohr teens from across Israel made their way to Jerusalem for an unforgettable experience—Selichot prayers at the Kotel.
As midnight approached, the Western Wall plaza filled with the sound of thousands of voices calling out in unity and longing. For many of the teens, this was their first time praying at the Kotel. Standing there with friends and mentors, they felt deeply connected—to their people, to their past, and to something greater than themselves.
These are young people who, without Migdal Ohr, might be getting into trouble or hanging out on the streets. Instead, they are surrounded by caring role models who show them the beauty of belonging and the joy of Jewish life and peers that are growth oriented.
Throughout the entire month of Elul, Ohr Yisraeli branches were filled with teens coming in the middle of the night to pray the slichot prayers. May their energy and prayers all be answered for the good!
