This Chanukah, your support brought light to children and homes where it was needed most. Across Migdal Ohr’s campuses and communities around the country, children marked the holiday with warmth and joy.

At the Western Wall, our founder Rabbi Yitzhak David Grossman spoke directly to the heart of Chanukah. At the place where the Greeks once tried to extinguish the menorah, he reminded us that Jewish history tells a clear story. Those who were willing to risk everything for holiness endured. Those who tried to erase Jewish faith disappeared. Today, the Jewish people stand in their land, lighting the menorah once again. In a time of global uncertainty and recent events affecting Jewish communities worldwide, Rabbi Grossman called on all of us to deepen our faith and increase the light that we spread.

That message echoed across the country for 8 days. Throughout the holiday, Rabbi Grossman and his wife, Rebbetzin Esther Grossman spent time on campus visiting menorah competitions, sharing delicious treats, enjoying musical concerts, and giving out gelt, of course!

Ohr Yisraeli teens had special volunteering projects to spread Chanukah joy to vulnerable patients in hospitals and neighbors in their communities. This is one group at HaEmek Hospital in Afula that passed through the hospital with sufganiyot, small gifts, and smiles. Their energy is truly contagious and surely brought light to those who couldn’t be home for the holiday.

The teenage girls of Ohr Yisraeli celebrated Chanukah with tremendous joy and energy, lighting up their campus with dozens of creative glow-in-the-dark activities that reflected their pride in who they are.

At Orot B’Emek’s elementary and middle schools, students celebrated Chanukah together with Rabbi Grossman at performances that showcased their talents and learning. Each child took part, each moment reinforcing a sense of belonging and accomplishment.

Thank you for constantly making the children of Migdal Ohr a priority and ensuring that their holidays are filled with meaning and joy. As you can see, it was a season of warmth and love for all of them!
