The teens of Migdal Ohr are spending Israel’s Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terror at cemeteries handing out copies of psalms and candles to families and friends coming to pay tribute to their loved ones.

There are few people who do not have a relative or friend to mourn today and the nation is truly unified in honoring those we have lost. While there are many national addresses and large ceremonies, perhaps some of the most touching memorials are the smaller ones organized by our young people.

The teens of Migdal Ohr’s 60 youth clubs from the north to the south of Israel are gathering in cities all over Israel to grieve the parents, siblings, and friends who are no longer here and to comfort one another through all the pain and loss.

These memorials are a testament to the heart and soul of Israel and the resilience that has brought us home after thousands of years of exile.

We know that you would be very proud of the beautiful way that our teens chose to use their youthful energy to connect with and comfort others on this very emotional and somber day in Israel.

Am Yisrael Chai!
