During the Jewish month of Shvat we celebrate the earth’s renewal and the holiday of Tu B’Shvat, the new year of the trees. At Migdal Ohr, our youths are out tending our vineyards and working in the greenhouses on campus.
At the end of the week, they are giving back to the community by distributing bouquets of flowers and selling produce in the market. They are even making dinners from the vegetables that they’ve grown!
Just like the earth, these children are learning that they too can have a second chance - an opportunity to turn a new leaf and set new goals for themselves. Being outdoors has also taken on a new meaning during the pandemic as the fresh air and nature have provided teens with perspective and hope.

Your gift today empowers Israel's youth to:
• Feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in the fruits of their labor
• Give back by donating produce and flowers to elderly and needy in their communities
• Achieve peace of mind and gain perspective while being in nature
• Learn to manage projects through selling their flowers, vegetables, and wines
• Connect to the land and state of Israel in a personal way
Rabbi Grossman, our founder, has embraced agricultural therapy because he knows how powerful it is for teens to spend time in nature and what a transformative impact it has on building their confidence and self-esteem.
With your help, the most vulnerable children will get the right tools, love, and guidance to turn their lives around. They will have the motivation and skills that they need to thrive now and long into the future.
Please continue to support these incredible programs and give Israel’s youth at-risk a bright future. As they get older and pay it forward, your investment is bearing fruits beyond measure!
