As the echoes of war fade and Israel emerges from yet another painful conflict, a different kind of victory is taking place at Migdal Ohr.
Our students — many of whom come from the country’s most vulnerable and low-income communities — are walking across graduation stages this month. They are celebrating not just academic milestones, but resilience, hope, and the promise of a brighter future.
At the Zoharim Youth Village, this year’s graduation was especially moving. Despite war, loss, and countless setbacks, these remarkable young men showed up every day, committed to building a better life for themselves. Just a few years ago, many of them were living on the streets, estranged from their families, and felt they had no future. Now, they proudly invited their families — some reconnecting for the first time — to witness how far they’ve come.
In his inspiring address, Rabbi Grossman reminded the students that they will forever remain part of the Migdal Ohr family. He emphasized their lifelong mission: to continue being “Zoharim”—radiant beacons of light and role models for the people of Israel. He urged them to carry the values, strength, and spiritual light they absorbed at Kfar Zoharim into every path they choose, illuminating the world around them. Mazel Tov!
Each graduate is stepping into the world stronger and more prepared to meet life’s challenges, knowing they always have a home and family at Migdal Ohr.
At our Machshava School, just a week after the sirens stopped wailing, our spectacular children returned to classrooms and jumped right back into final rehearsals and performances. Machshava is one of 15 schools on Migdal Ohr’s campuses that serve children from Israel’s poorest immigrant neighborhoods.
Their end-of-year performances in music, drama, and STEM weren’t just a showcase of talent — they were a testament to the unwavering spirit and strength of these young people. Their smiles on stage remind us that when we stand together, we give these children the gift of normalcy, joy, and the freedom to dream — even after months of fear and uncertainty.
These graduations are our answer to those who wish to destroy us: we rebuild, we heal, and we raise up the next generation stronger than ever.
Thank you for being part of this story — for believing in Israel’s children and helping them grow into the leaders our nation needs.
