You can bring light to thousands of children this Chanukah

"I grew up without a family and was raised at Migdal Ohr in Israel. Thanks to the kindness of donors like you, I am now responsible for over 100 children who are growing up here."

Dear Friend,

Chag Sameach! My name is Yehudit Ifergan. I grew up with an absentee father and a mother who couldn't care for me. When I was 10 years old, a neighbor brought me to live and study at Migdal Ohr. That day, my life went from darkness to light.

I still remember the love that our founder, Rabbi Grossman, had for each of us and the way that he cared for each of our needs.

Years later, when Rabbi Grossman opened the Mishpachton family dorms, he asked my husband and I if we would consider moving to campus and caring for 12 children, in addition to our own. There was no question that we wanted to pass on the kindness that we had received to others!

As the program grew, so did our extended family. Today, I am a mother to 100 children who live in our dorms and manage the staff who care for their every need. I owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to you - the compassionate and generous supporters of Migdal Ohr - who believed in my potential and who continue to create a future for our children.

Thank you for all that you are doing for over 10,000 children who participate in Migdal Ohr programs each year. You cannot imagine the kind of darkness these orphaned and neglected children come from and the amazing light that you create for them through your giving.

Please join me in making a donation this Chanukah and transforming a child's life with:

  • Three nutritious meals a day

  • Medical care and any therapies they need

  • A family-style home with loving dorm parents

  • Clothing, shoes, and all of their necessities

  • A loving and supportive school environment

  • Sports, music, and art programs to develop their talents

Without parents to care for them, Israel's most vulnerable children need someone like you who believes in them and their potential. Chanukah is a perfect time to bring a smile to a child's face and remind them that inside of them is an incredible light!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. There is no doubt that your gift will have a transformative impact on the life of a child the same way that it changed mine!

Wishing you a Chanukah filled with hope, love, and light,

Children from broken homes, who have no future, could descend into crime or drugs. How do you save them? It is independent organizations like Rabbi Grossman’s Migdal Ohr that show us the way… These children go to the army, they then become productive and active citizens in our society and this is a monumental achievement.

I appeal to everyone, contribute to this cause. You are supporting life, you are supporting the state of Israel, you are supporting yourself, you are supporting this great nation.

This is something that can make a difference, will make a difference, to the society that we are building in Israel. A society in which everybody is enabled. That is an aim that we can all support.
