Midreshet HaGalil Academy Campus
Midreshet HaGalil was once an abandoned hotel tower with a rotating bar built by a bankrupt Russian businessman. It became a drug haven for Jews and Arabs. Rabbi Grossman stepped in and with the help of the nearby town of Migdal HaEmek, turned the once needle-infested and dingy concrete and rusting steel hulk into a high school for Russian-born children who show intellectual promise and aptitude in technology. Established in 1993, Midreshet HaGalil Academy is now home to over 500 gifted high school students.
The school features three highly specialized faculties: science (including biology, physics, and chemistry); Technology (computer programming, electronics, and hardware); and Free Arts (geography, sports, and music.) Upon mastering a curriculum rigorous in both secular and Judaic studies, graduates receive a vocational degree in electronics, metal working, or computer graphics. The school's post-graduate academic program specializes in electronics and engineering.
