Evan Bernstein

Prior to the American Friends of Migdal Ohr Evan worked for The David Project Center for Jewish Leadership. Based in Boston, The David Project has offices in New York and Israel. As the first National Director of Development at The David Project, he was responsible for leading and managing all of the organization's national fundraising and marketing.
Evan's professional background includes being a former director level consultant for Community Counseling Service, Inc. (CCS) that specializes in helping nonprofits. While at CCS, he oversaw multiple nonprofit projects that included working with the Camden Maine YMCA and the Advanced Medical Technology Association in Washington D.C. Evan was also the Arizona Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee where he managed two boards (Phoenix and Tucson) and all state operations. At AIPAC, he worked with Arizona-elected officials that included Senator Jon Kyl and Senator John McCain on pro-Israel related issues and events. Evan began his career working with the United Way.
Evan earned a BSW from Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) and a ALM from Harvard University. While at Harvard he was one of 20 students selected to sit on the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations Student Advisory Board. In 2007, he was honored by WCSU's School of Professional Studies with the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in recognition of his successful nonprofit executive work.
